My name is Kim Williams and this is my eleventh year teaching here at KES. I live in Kingston with my family. I have a daughter named Evelyn (Evie) and she will turn two this school year. I also have a Lhasa Apso named Shelby. She is my furbaby and she is fourteen years old.
My family and I really enjoy spending time at the park, on the lake, or going on fun adventures. We spend a lot of time at Zoo Knoxville as well. I am excited to get to share my classroom with you this year and please remember if you need anything or have any questions, feel free to contact me!

Our second service project for the year will kick off today. We will be participating in the Scholastic Pajama Drive. Spelling Week 6

Here is a digital copy of next week's words. The copy machines in the building have been printing report cards and have been jammed up, so the students do not have a hard copy today. I will do my best to get them to the classes on Monday.

Next Week

There are lots of exciting things going on next week. Monday, KES will be helping to celebrate Jim Henry Day, please have your child wear red, white, and blue in honor of this day. We will also be having our first Field Trip to the Museum of Appalachia on Friday. Due to all of the excitement, there will be No Spelling List for next week!

Week 4 Spelling List

Remember, don't let the spelling and dictation stress you out! These grades are averaged in with all of the reading grades so they won't make or break you. 10 minutes a night should be the most you spend on these :)

This week's plans

This week we were supposed to read and discuss the story Princess Hyacinth. We were working in chromebooks today and didn't get our activity finished. We will save our story until next week. We will work with chromebooks, spelling, and key details instead! Thank you!
