It’s Book Fair Time at BES! From Friday, September 19, through Friday, September 26, students will have time to shop during their scheduled library time, from 3:10-4:30 PM, and additional times throughout the week. Starting this afternoon, Mr. Paul's bus (formerly Bus 3) will now be Bus 4. This bus has seatbelts, and all students are expected to wear them at all times. Please be patient and flexible with route times for the next couple of days, as the students are adjusting to this change. Parents of bus riders, please review our bus expectations with your children. It’s a great reminder and helps keep our students safe!

When the weather gets iffy outside, our students often enjoy indoor recess. Ms. Ashley‘s second grade students participated in some teambuilding activities last week during rainy weather. We love seeing our students play and work together to complete tasks. They are having conversations with purpose, problem-solving, and communicating while they work. What a fun and engaging way to learn these life skills! 

FREE Shoe Day Today August 16, 2025 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Rockwood Walmart Children Pre-K to 5th grade that are in need of a new pair of tennis shoes for the new school year! One pair per child. The child MUST be present and no rainchecks!

It’s time! Back to school we go! Tomorrow, Thursday, July 31, 2025, is the first day of our 2025-2026 school year, and we are beyond thrilled to see you! Doors open at 7:30 AM. Breakfast will be served. Students should be in the building by 8:00 AM. Dismissal begins at 11:41 AM. Buses will run for arrival and dismissal; be watching a few minutes earlier than your normal time as we have new drivers learning their routes. Let’s do this! It’s going to be the BESt year ever!

BES Meet the Teacher Event is tomorrow, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 3:00-5:00 PM. Come meet your child's teacher and drop off any supplies you may have. We have a 1/2 Day of School on Thursday, July 31. Dismissal will be at 11:41 AM. Buses will run in the morning and at dismissal.

Class Photos are available for pickup by parents at the Front Office when school starts back. The following Information is for students attending our Summer Learning Program. Summer Learning School and 3rd Grade Summer School for BES, MTES, and HMS begins tomorrow, Tuesday, May 27th at 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. If your student is a bus rider, please be watching for the bus from 7:00 AM -7:50 AM for the 1st week until bus routes are established and running smoothly. School doors will be open at 7:45 AM. Breakfast will begin at 7:45 AM every morning. Class begins at 8:00 AM. Lunch is provided everyday. Dismissal to cars and buses will begin at 3:00 PM. If your child needs a snack, water, or light jacket, please send that each day. School supplies are provided. Backpacks are optional. We made it! Another school year is almost over, and what a fabulous one it has been! We appreciate the love and support shown to our students, staff, and school during the 2024-2025 school year.
